1. Cleaning and washing: For extraction of starch from sweet potato, the first step is cleaning. Cleaning process is for removing the stone, seed and dirt of sweet potato. 2.Cutting and crushing: After cleaning and washing process, the sweet potato is converted to the sweet potato starch processing machine for cutting. 4. Desanding: After the separating section, the starch slurry still contains sand which need to be removed by desander machine. The function of desander in extraction of starch from sweet potato is to fully remove the fine impurities in starch so as to ensure the taste and quality of starch.
5. Concentration and refining: After the separation section, the sweet potato slurry need to be further refined. This process mainly removes the protein, fine fiber and cell sap. In this process of extraction of starch from sweet potato, the mainly used machine is hydrocyclone station. A full hydrocyclone technology includes the concentration, refining and recycling.
6. Dehydrating: The dehydrating is used to reduce the water content of cassava milk so that is can be dried. Vacuum filter take use of negative pressure to achieve the purpose of dehydrating for extraction of starch from sweet potato. The starch milk is sucked onto the drum, and the filtrate is sucked into the filtrate separation tank and pumped away by the filtrate pump. The filter cake is scraped down by the scraper and transported into the feed hopper of the starch drying machine with food-grade conveyor belt.

7.Drying: The dewatered starch need to be dried to meet the standard starch for extraction of starch from sweet potato. This sweet potato starch machine is called flash dryer. The flash air utilizes the high speed hot air to dry the starch which is complete in seconds.
